Product Notes
Spotlighting the emotional complexity that comes with organ donation, THREE RIVERS looks at the medical field from a unique and brave angle as it follows both doctors and patients. Set against the backdrop of the preeminent transplant hospital in the country, a group of surgeons is lead by the highly skilled, workaholic Dr. Andy Yablonski (Hawaii Five-O's Alex O'Loughlin). His team is made up of the rebellious Dr. Miranda Foster (L word's Katherine Moennig), the womanizing Dr. David Lee (Daniel Henney), the inexperienced Ryan Abbott (Christopher J. Hanke), and the head-strong operating assistant Pam Acosta (Justina Machado). The surgical department is supervised by Dr. Sophia Jordan (Alfre Woodard), a brilliant surgeon whose world experience enriches the team as they navigate the emotionally trying landscape of the operating room. In their world of organ transplants every second is more precious than the next. It takes more than a steady hand with a scalpel to meet the needs of donor families in their darkest hour and manage the fears of the organ recipients. Available for the first time on DVD, this special edition set contains all 13 episodes of the memorable series as well as an Entertainment Tonight interview with Alex O'Loughlin.
