Norway's Terje Lie (pronounced Terry Lee) now lives in Los Angeles and has assembled a great line-up and some solid material for his latest CD, Traveler. The CD features all original compositions; catchy melodies with uplifting grooves interspersed with laid-back, reflective, and romantic tracks. The saxophonist and singer hooks up with some of LA's heavyweight musicians, including David Garfield on keyboards (Michael McDonald, George Benson, Earl Klugh, Dianne Reeves), Ernest Tibbs on bass (Natalie Cole, Tonight Show), and Jeff Olson on drums (David Benoit). Terje Lie's playing lends a jazz-approach to some commercial and danceable grooves. In addition to the instrumentals, Terje performs vocals on two of the tracks.
