Product Notes
Three CD edition. Digitally remastered and expanded edition of the classic 1979 album by Fleetwood Mac. Includes the remastered original album, an alternate version of the complete album made up of session outtakes, most of which have never been released, as well as an additional selection of singles, demos and remixes, including an outtake of the Top 20 hit "Think About Me," an early version of "That's Enough For Me" called "Out On The Road," plus several incarnations of "I Know I'm Not Wrong." The follow-up to the hit album Rumours, Tusk is considered experimental, primarily due to Lindsey Buckingham's sparser songwriting arrangements and the influence of punk rock and new wave on his production techniques. Bassist John McVie has commented that the album sounds like "the work of three solo artists" (Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie), whilst Mick Fleetwood later proclaimed that it is his favorite and the best Fleetwood Mac studio album created by the group. Costing over $1 million to record (a fact widely noted in the 1979 press), it was the most expensive rock album made up to that point.
