Product Notes
Snug little Bromley End seemed safe from World War II, and the villagers welcomed the lorry loads of Royal Engineers rolling onto their quiet green acres. They didn't know they were disguised Germen parachutists installing radar appparatus to disrupt England's entire netowrk. Nor did they suspect their community leader was a traitor. Staring disaster in the face, and with the safety of their country dependent upon them, can the villagers see through the deceit and defeat the enemy? An acclaimed drama made in 1942, when the outcome of the war remained unsure, 'Went The Day Well' is based on a short story by Graham Greene [Brighton Rock, The Third Man] and stars Leslie Banks.
