Product Notes

Formed in 1968 by soul star William Bell and his manager Henry Wynn, Peachtree Records was based in Atlanta and issued 20 highly acclaimed 'Southern soul' singles, all of which are now treasured by soul fans and record collectors, especially in Europe and Japan. Many Peachtree tracks are also in heavy demand with 'Northern' and 'modern soul' fans. This essential album features James Fountain, Mitty Collier, Emory & the Dynamics, Jimmy Church, Eddie Billups, Johnny Jones & the King Casuals and Peg Leg Moffett, not to forget Susie Rainey's amazing original version of "You Hurt So Good" and the previously unissued Gorgeous George track, "You Can't Stop a Woman."
