Product Notes
Meet Ben Maverick (Charles Frank), the crown prince of cardsharps. Son of Beau (played by Roger Moore on the original series), Ben may be Harvard educated, but he's still cut from the same cloth as his cousins (once removed). So it's a good thing Bret (James Garner) and Bart (Jack Kelly) are on hand to introduce Ben to the ways of the Wild West in The New Maverick TV movie (included in this collection), which successfully paved the way for this Maverick sequel series. Unlike his lighter traveling relations, Ben carries some extra baggage on his wanderings - his lovely grifting gal pal Nell (Susan Blanchard). While the pair may always bluff their way to high stakes, their real ace-in-the-hole is Marshal Edge Troy (John Dehner), who shows up just in time to get the pair out of a jam. Usually. Notable guests include James Woods, Donna Mills, George Dzundza, Howard Duff, Harry Dean Stanton and Morgan Fairchild.
